These standards guide how Alex Morgan Unfiltered reports, writes, and corrects stories.
Accuracy
We aim to get facts right: dates, figures, legal status, and what officials actually said. Where numbers come from estimates or forecasts, we label them as such.
Sourcing
Wherever practical, articles link to or name the underlying sources — official data, government statements, or reputable reporting. We prefer primary sources over secondary summaries when both are available.
Fact, analysis, and opinion
Fact — what can be verified from the record.
Analysis — interpretation of those facts, clearly framed as explanation rather than confirmed outcome.
Opinion — if used, it will be labelled. Most of our coverage is news analysis, not partisan commentary.
Threats vs. policy in force
Trade and sanctions stories often mix announcements, threats, and measures already in effect. We try to keep those stages distinct so readers are not left thinking a proposal is already law.
Corrections
When we identify a significant error of fact, we correct the article and note the change when the correction materially affects understanding. Minor typos may be fixed quietly.

Conflicts and independence
We do not accept payment for favourable coverage. Sponsored or partner content, if ever published, will be clearly labelled.
